AEO score badge

An embeddable AEO grade badge from a single AEOprobe audit. It is a snapshot, not a live score.

Direct answer

The AEOprobe badge is a small image of one audit's grade and date. Paste the HTML or Markdown snippet on your site or README. The image is frozen as of that audit; it does not track later changes.

Run a free audit, open the report, and click Get embed code. Scoring rules are documented on the methodology page.

What it is

A shields-style image served from /badge/{token}. Stored-audit badges show the grade, score out of 100, AEOprobe, and an "as of" date from that report. The token maps to one stored audit, not your latest crawl.

The badge is optional and is not a ranking or citation claim.

How to get one

  1. Run a free AEOprobe audit on your public URL.
  2. Open the finished report.
  3. Click Get embed code. That makes the badge URL durable so it does not expire after 30 days.
  4. Copy the HTML or Markdown snippet and paste it where you want the badge.

Example embed

The image points at /badge/{token}. The link around it goes to this page so inbound links stay indexable. A secondary line includes the full report URL.

Embed code

<a href="https://aeoprobe.com/tools/aeo-score-badge"><img src="https://aeoprobe.com/badge/{token}" alt="AEOprobe AEO score A- as of 25 Apr 2026" width="292" height="28"></a>
<a href="https://aeoprobe.com/report/{token}">Full report</a>

Synthetic example of the <img> target:

AEOprobe AEO score A- as of 25 Apr 2026
https://aeoprobe.com/badge/{token}

Available vs expired

Available snapshot

AEOprobe AEO score A- as of 25 Apr 2026

Grade, score, and audit date from one stored report. The value side is cobalt for a high score, amber for a middle score and rust for a low one, and always prints the grade as text.

Expired fallback

Score expired, re-audit at AEOprobe

Unknown, expired, or failed lookups still return a 200 SVG, never a broken image.

Questions

Does the badge update when I re-audit?

No. Each badge is a snapshot of one audit. Improving the site does not change an already-embedded image. Generate a new embed code from a later report if you want a new grade.

What happens if the report expires?

The image still loads. An expired token renders a fallback SVG that says to re-audit at AEOprobe, and an unknown token renders a generic AEOprobe badge. The badge is designed never to become a broken image.

Why does the badge link here instead of the full report?

Shared report pages are noindex. This landing page is the indexable destination, so inbound links can count. The embed snippet also includes the full report URL as a secondary text line.

Will people embed a low score?

The badge is optional. You choose whether to display it; it shows the grade from one audit and does not claim a ranking or citation result.
